Delete Your Account in the App
You can delete both a guest account and an account linked with Google or Apple. Open Settings, choose Manage account, and select Delete account. Follow the confirmation and any sign-in verification shown by the app. You do not need to link a guest account to Google or Apple to delete it.
What Is Deleted
Once deletion is accepted, normal access to the account is blocked. BiteRadar removes its private saved locations and synchronization operations, owned feedback and species suggestions, remote notification registrations, and active subscription assignments. It clears account-owned review free text and associated metadata. Firebase identity deletion runs in the background and is retried if the identity provider is temporarily unavailable.
The app clears the deleted account's saved-location data from the device. It remains on an account-deleted screen until you explicitly choose to create a new account and continue.
Local catches and photos remain. Catch entries, attached photos, and favorite species are currently device-local and are not backed up or restored by signing in. Account deletion does not remove them. Remove entries manually, clear app storage, or delete the app to remove local-only data; manage any separately shared copies yourself.
Cancel subscriptions separately. Account deletion and uninstalling the app do not cancel Apple App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Manage renewal through the store used for your purchase. Store purchase records may be retained by those providers.
Request Deletion From the Web
If you cannot access the app, you can request account and associated data deletion by contacting us at onionsoftcontact@gmail.com.
Include the email address or sign-in provider used for your account, if any. For a guest account, tell us that you used guest access; an email address alone may not identify it. We may request information needed to verify ownership. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens, or full payment-card details.
Data We May Retain
Automatic account deletion retains an internal contribution identifier and its votes, forecast ratings, and non-text review answers. Catch analytics use a separate installation identifier and are not automatically erased with the account. Historical contributions without account ownership may also remain. These records are not necessarily anonymous.
Limited records may also remain for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, or transactions. You can contact us to request access to or erasure of personal data beyond the automatic deletion process; we will assess your request under applicable law.
